Your Pie in The Journal Record

Your Pie was featured in The Journal Record. Your Pie will be opening the very first location in the state of Oklahoma with local owners Darren Buck and Jason Martin. The two are cousins and now business partners. Their family is connected to the restaurant business through their grandmother, whose picture will hang in their first location since it was always her dream to own her own restaurant. Your Pie plans to grow more in Oklahoma now shipping logistics have been figured out.

We were featured on the Money section of Time.com on Friday, March 13^th, 2015. The piece featured Your Pie’s Pi Day celebration. On Pi Day, Your Pie offered a $3.14 discount off of pizzas and gave away free gelato and pi-related swag.

Your Pie held its annual Pi(e) Day® celebration on March 15^th. The originator of the fast casual pizza concept offered a $3.14 discount on all orders and toasted the holiday by offering Your Pi(e)nts of craft beer for $3.14. Pizza Marketplace featured an article about the biggest sales day in Your Pie’s year, and provided more details about what Your Pie fans can expect.

Your Pie in Nation’s Restaurant News

We were featured in Nation’s Restaurant News. Drew French, founder of Your Pie mentioned, “Ingredients need to be fresh and high quality as customers can see what is being put on their pizza, chopped salad or panini.”

The quick-serve, down-the-line pizza concept started in Athens, Georgia, and now has 20 units in four states. “If you look at how Italians started making pizza, they used very few high quality ingredients,” French said. “This allows you to taste high quality cheese, sauces and ingredients. The yield is better and the flavor is better.”

Your Pie in Franchise Times

We were featured in Franchise Times. On the heels of slumping sales across the globe, McDonald’s is looking for ways to enhance their image with the coveted Millennial segment. Franchise Times Assistant Editor Tom Kaiser polled some Millennial members of the franchise community, including Your Pie Founder Drew French, who says he’s interested to see what McDonald’s rolls out and how it fares with customers. Your Pie in The Oconee Enterprise

We were featured in the Oconee Enterprise. Todd Strickland, owner of the Your Pie in Watkinsville was featured in The Oconee Enterprise, that talks about how he decided to leave his corporate job to take over one of his favorite spots for pizza. Todd and his wife Rhonda are looking to offer a place where they can give back to the local community and work with the local schools. With more and more people looking for meals at a discount, Strickland switched over to a one-price model to give customers a better value and to streamline the ordering process at his location.

Your Pie now has 14 locations in Georgia with the 15th opening next weekend in Atlanta. The brand is continuing to expand in major markets across the country with signings in Chicago, Houston, Virginia Beach, Richmond, and Oklahoma City.

We were featured in the Wall Street Journal. Find out how Your Pie is experiencing sales success as the price at the pump drops. Gas prices have been steadily falling through the end of 2014 and have dipped below $2 a gallon in some markets in early 2015. This has created a positive ripple effect being felt across the economy, specifically in the retail and restaurant sector. Wall Street Journal Reporter Nick Timiraos spoke with David Barr, Chairman of the Board for Your Pie and KFC franchisee, about how the extra cash in consumers’ pockets is correlating to higher sales at Your Pie and in his KFC restaurants.

Your Pie on WJXT-Jacksonville

We were featured on WJXT-Jacksonville. Dea Sims and Trevor Jorgenson from Your Pie were on the show to go through how viewers can make healthier topping choices for pizzas in the New Year. Dea went through the fresh toppings that they offer at Your Pie, the different sauces that provide a lot flavor and that are healthier options on their pizzas. There was another portion of the segment that was not available for viewing online. This was a great segment for the brand and Dea did a great job!

We were featured in Pizza Marketplace. Drew French, Your Pie founder, is featured throughout the piece discussing his predictions for 2015. Here are the portions where Drew is referenced:

Under the “Biggest culinary trend from 2014” heading: Drew French, founder of Your Pie, has experienced an increase in craft beer demand. His company has even started adding craft beer and pizza pairings. 

Under the “Culinary trend predictions for 2015” heading: Just as the National Restaurant Association's Culinary Forecast predicted, French believes we will see more restaurants working with local businesses and food providers in '15. 

Under the “Biggest non-menu trend predictions for 2015” heading: Nancy's pizza expects mobile payment to be big, as does French. "There will be growing interest in electronic payment methods. The restaurants that have held off on having payment apps will begin jumping on the bandwagon," he said.

Your Pie in the Atlanta Journal Constitution

We were featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The story focused on the FDA regulations mandating restaurants post calorie counts on menu boards by December 2015. For the story, Leon Stafford from the Atlanta Journal Constitution spoke with Your Pie founder Drew French. Drew said that the company has created several pizzas that are under 600 calories and that researchers have been able to reduce calories from bread and cheese but still maintain the flavor.

We were featured on the WLTZ-The Dee Armstrong Show. Anthony Spezzano from Your Pie was on the show to talk about all of the different specialty pizzas that Your Pie offers to the community. Anthony goes through the house pizzas that are offered at Your Pie every day and how to pair beers with certain pizzas while dining in. Anthony also goes through the beer guide that they offer at the stores and how each visit can be a fun event for families and friends. Find out about the beers that they currently have on tap, the craft beer flights that they offer, and the gift cards they have for purchase during the holidays.

We were featured in Inside Business. This was an in-depth article, giving great coverage to Your Pie coming to the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. For the story, the reporter talked to Your Pie founder Drew French and Jeff Rhoades, a Your Pie franchisee. The story also discussed Jeff’s background: from working in sports, to hotel sales, to medical sales, and now opening his own Your Pie pizzerias.

We were featured on Food Management.  The article was a trend piece on holiday desserts that contribute to revenue.  Your Pie was mentioned as a fast-casual pizza concept with more than 20 units in Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida, this year has created an “Apple Pie Pie.” Your Pie Founder, Drew French was quoted saying, “It’s pizza à la mode,” says founder Drew French. “We’ve always had gelato on our menu, but last year we started messing around with the idea of pizza desserts. We want to use seasonal ingredients for desserts like we do for our regular pizzas.”
