Gas prices have been steadily falling through the end of 2014 and have dipped below $2 a gallon in some markets in early 2015. This has created a positive ripple effect being felt across the economy, specifically in the retail and restaurant sector. Wall Street Journal Reporter Nick Timiraos spoke with David Barr, Chairman of the Board for Your Pie and KFC franchisee, about how the extra cash in consumers’ pockets is correlating to higher sales at Your Pie and in his KFC restaurants.
